thesquatlobster This is nuts. Literally nuts. And since it's the season of goodwill, you have to listen to this.

Black sabbath songs, faithfully reproduced but with lyrics about Christmas? What's not to love? Favorite track: Santa Sabbath.

Reindeer shape with nose of fire Giving children their desires Santa’s sitting there he’s smiling Watch as that sleigh goes higher and higher Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas! Have you been good my friend Santa’s comin’ round the bend Children running cuz they’re bad A lump of coal was all that he had Ho Ho Ho!!

I’m looking down from a sled in the sky It’s Christmas Eve and now it’s my time to fly I’m getting closer to the end of the line I’ve come to wish you all a nice Christmastime I’m in a chimney hole without any flue I’m in the chimney bringing presents for you A wooden horse and a new bat and ball A happy holiday for one and for all Sled in the sky, bringing you presents Red nose of light – through the night Find your stocking and there’s no turning back The stuffing’s easy when you got Santa’s sack You reach inside and find a big lump of coal I guess you must have been a little butthole
3.
Frosty snowman jolly soul With corncob pipe and eyes of coal Was a fairy tale they say But came to life on Christmas Day Must have been some magic in that Ragged old silk hat they found When they put it on his head He got right up and danced around Dancing Frosty Dance for Christmas Day Oh yeah Frosty’s real as he can be Can laugh and play like you and me Saw the sun was hot that day let’s Dance before I melt away Went down to the streets of town and Then they spied a traffic cop And they didn’t pause a moment When they heard him holler stop Frosty snowman tipped his hat And said I must be on my way Waved goodbye said don’t you cry I’m Coming back on Christmas Day

Candles in the sky Telling you the day is nigh Latkes are piled high All for your festive time Nine candles burning bright Turn darkness into light Turn snowmen into melt Greedy fingers stained with gelt Dreidel, dreidel made of clay Now with dreidel you shall play Time now you better pray Do it again for seven days World spinning like a dreidel Looking back from grave to cradle In flaming yarmulke It's electric Hanukkah HAVA NAGILA VENIS ME’AH URU ACHIM BELEV SAMEACH ELECTRIC HANUKKAH! ELECTRIC HANUKKAH! Reading from the Torah Lifting up to light menorah Holiday spirits lifting higher Reading script from Zechariah No ham on the table Share some gelt if you are able Brisket smell rise from the pot Frying up the sulfganiyot

Silver tinsel in their minds Children start to march At 6 AM beneath the Xmas tree Greed within their hearts They're tired of being good and nice And told just what to do Now it's Xmas morning and their Evil's shining through Children of tomorrow live in Fear of the naughty list But the sunlight of this morning means there's No more ass to kiss Because the things they do today They'll make up through the year How far do you think they'll go Now that they have no fear? So you children of the world listen to what I say If you want another gift next year You'll get one anyway Show the world that Santa's still alive You must be brave All you children of today are children of the sleigh

Sweet Tree 04:48
All right now! Holly jolly! Well I first met you Out in the pines That’s where I chopped you And made you mine You introduced me To Christmas time And left me wanting Red blinking lights Oh yeah! Merry Christmas! Christmas was empty, I was feeling down Until you took me, turned me around Christmas is cool now, Christmas is fun I love you sweet tree O Tannenbaum! Oh yeah baby! Atheists don’t know what you’re about They try to throw you right out of town But your real meaning they cannot see Too bad the world don’t love you sweet tree Ho Ho baby! Come one now! Twelve drummers drumming! Eleven pipers piping! Got your lords a leaping! All right! On yeah!

about

Santa Sabbath demolishes the holiday music paradigm delivering your favorite Black Sabbath classics with holiday lyrics.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqKzQO-ezRI

Ho ho ho! Santa Sabbath is coming to a chimney near you this holiday season! Our debut CD has six all-new holiday classics, all set to the music of Black Sabbath.

Formed in Los Angeles in 2008, Santa Sabath was born one magic night when founder Bob Lee (The Freeks, The Amadans, Clawhammer, Mike Watt) was presented with an opportunity to do a Christmas show with his cover band The Bob Lee, and had two competing notions - should they do a set of Christmas songs, like "I Wish It Could Be Christmas very Day" and "Father Christmas", or do a set of Black Sabbath songs. Santa himself came to visit Bob that night, and told him that he shouldn't choose - he should do both at once. That night, the core of the Santa Sabbath discography was conceived.

With its current lineup of guitarist Jonathan Hall (Backbiter, The Freeks, Angry Samoans, Motorcycle Black Madonnas), Pat Hoed (The Black Widows, Brujeria, Down By Law) on bass and John Collinson (Leather Hyman, Motorcycle Black Madonnas, The Golden Rulers) on drums, the band recorded at the studio of Justin Burrill in a single nine-hour session. The six completed tracks comprise five Christmas songs with re-written lyrics, as well as our tribute to Hanukkah, with lyrics to warm the heart and comfort the soul, and music to chill you to the bone and set your antlers to banging.

If you like your holiday music deep, dark and forbidding, look no further. Santa Sabbath makes a great gift for the discerning metalhead on your shopping list. Even better, at the office Christmas party, you can switch off the Mariah Carey CD, put this on and get the party really going!

"Children of the Sleigh" CD features cover art by renowned artist/photographer Edward Colver.
